Terms of Service

By accessing or using Pass HK Exams ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Pass HK Exams is operated as a sole trader and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Hong Kong Marine Department (MARDEP) or any examination or licensing body, including OFCA.

Educational Disclaimer

Pass HK Exams is an independent educational tool only. It supports preparation for the exam modules available on the platform. Each product identifies its examination body, scope and included study material.

• Questions and content are written for educational purposes and do not constitute official material from an examination body.
• We make no guarantee that completing our question bank will result in passing an examination.
• Rules, regulations and technical information should be verified against current official sources for your chosen examination.
• Pass HK Exams does not replace formal instruction, practical training, or official study materials.
• We are not responsible for any decisions made based on content provided by the Service.

Subscription & Billing

Paid access is sold per exam module at the monthly price shown on its product page and at checkout, billed via Stripe. A subscription covers only the modules purchased. By subscribing you authorise recurring monthly charges until you cancel. Coming Soon modules cannot be purchased until launch.

• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time via the Stripe customer portal. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: To protect our intellectual property, we do not offer refunds unless required under applicable law.
• Changes to pricing: We will give at least 30 days' notice of any price changes via email.
• Payment processing: All payments are handled by Stripe. We do not store your card details.

Access & Acceptable Use

Your subscription grants you personal, non-transferable access to the exam module or modules purchased. You may not:

• Share your account credentials with others
• Reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content from the Service
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the question bank
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms without refund.

Privacy Policy

We take your privacy seriously. This section explains what data we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

• Email address — provided when you subscribe or sign in, used to verify your account access.
• Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• Practice progress — quiz scores and progress may be stored in your browser (local storage) and, if you sign in with Google, synced to our servers keyed to your verified Google account email so you can resume on another device. We use this only to provide the Service.
• Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-DK447M186L) and Cloudflare Web Analytics / Insights to understand aggregate site usage (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). These tools may set cookies or use similar identifiers.

How we use your data

• Your email is used solely to verify your active subscription when you log in.
• We do not sell, share, or rent your personal data to third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
• We may contact you regarding your subscription (billing, service updates, or cancellation).

Data retention

Your email and subscription data is held by Stripe for as long as you are a customer. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us. Progress data stored in your browser can be cleared by clearing your browser's local storage.

Third parties

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy
• Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, and Web Analytics / Insights. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
• Google Analytics — site analytics (GA4). Google Privacy Policy
• Google Identity / Fonts — optional Google Sign-In and typography loaded from Google's CDN.
• Formspree — contact form delivery.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the Service (for example, session storage for login state) and for analytics:

• Google Analytics 4 (G-DK447M186L) may set cookies to measure how the site is used.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics / Insights may collect privacy-preserving traffic metrics.

Practice progress stored in your browser stays on your device unless you sign in with Google, in which case a copy may be synced to our servers under your verified email. You can clear browser storage at any time. We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising profiles.

Radio Amateur Examination: Coming Soon

Radio exam preparation is not yet available for subscription. Subscriptions to other modules do not include access to a Coming Soon module. Availability and any planned pricing are shown on its product card. Pass HK Exams is not affiliated with or endorsed by OFCA (the Office of the Communications Authority).
